90 x 40 cmOil on Canvas$50,000.00I am unable to paint figures due to the pandemic. I travel by tram to and from my studio. Along the tracks, the once lively streets of Hong Kong has now become quiet. With the decrease of workload, I have gained more personal time. My life has slowed down, much like the steady, calming pace of the tram. I was traveling on a bumpy road, passing by everything in a blur. Now I can stop and take in the view. These distant yet familiar sceneries awaken the same rush I felt during figure painting, calling me to paint. And so I let my feelings pour onto the canvas. Words are not enough to describe my love to my home.
The best part of the ferry ride is the spectacular view of the Victoria Harbor. Every time I visit, the Harbor greets me with a different view from before -- the taste of the salty breeze may just be a bit fishier; the hum of the sea sometimes peaceful, other times spirited; fragments of the sun glimmers upon the waves in a thousand shades...
People and nature can be the same -- harmonious and peaceful.
The unique green shade of the ferry, I have kept on my canvas.
